After sampling many barrels — 99% corn, wheat, rye, and double-oaked wheat among them — one double-oaked high rye demanded attention. Spice, caramel, oak and vanilla arrived with complexity and force. At cask strength, it was already full of character and ready to be enjoyed. It became the first barrel chosen by the Keeper.
